The prices shown on the advert for this campsite are quite simply misleading. It says that prices vary between €10 and €20 in low season, and that high season prices only apply in July and August. However, from 1 June we were charged more than the advertised high season rate, even though the campsite was virtually empty, and we paid more than the high season rate for a single pitch on gravel, with no shade or greenery. And if you want a decent pitch - a bit of grass and a tree for shade - you have to add another €10! To add insult to injury, the gravel pitches are located right next to where campers empty their chemical cassettes. There's a total lack of respect for customers, and you feel like you've been taken for a ride. This campsite is clearly trying to lure you in by offering attractive prices, then charging you unjustified rates as soon as you arrive, in the hope that you won't have the courage to turn back. This kind of practice only serves to further damage the reputation of the owner, who is apparently already not very well regarded in the region.Be transparent about your prices. Clearly display the real rates, including supplements for 'correct' pitches. And above all, respect the distinction between low and high season instead of inventing it at your convenience.
