EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS HUMAWAKA CAMPSITE We were very disappointed by the services and prices offered by this campsite. First of all, the reception (which also serves as a snack bar and bar) is not very attractive, we were greeted outside by a simple counter where people who came to collect their pizzas, sandwiches or drinks crowded into a very small space. Then for the activities and services, there's the 'children's play area', which didn't appeal at all to the children and which they quickly got round to using, and there's also the 'swimming pool', where we were very surprised by its size and temperature! From the photos on the campsite's official website, we had the impression that the pool was much bigger, but it wasn't. Yes, the dimensions of the pool are indicated on the campsite's website, but as I'm not a pool expert, I couldn't get an idea of its size. We've been to a lot of campsites and this is the first time we've seen a pool so small and so cold in the middle of summer. That's it for the activities on the campsite, oh no sorry there's also table football and table tennis. However, during our stay, there was no entertainment or other activities (no boules competition, no karaoke, etc.) throughout the week.we continue with the sanitary facilities, which are really too outdated for our taste and where we had problems with the shower. we had to keep pressing the push button to turn on the water, which wasn't very practical for washing with just one hand. Finally, the prices are really too high for the products and services on offer, and when I say products I mean pizzas, drinks and "DU" sandwiches, because when we were there we had the choice between a kebab and ...... a kebab that didn't look much like one either. There were also 2 very unpleasant things, the first was the wind that we had for 1 week on the heights of the campsite. In fact we were on the heights of the campsite in the "residential area" at the top of the hill, so the view is certainly very nice but the wind and the cold in the middle of July is not the most pleasant, but as soon as we went back down to the bottom of the campsite there was no more wind! A bon entendeur ! .... And the 2nd thing that's quite disconcerting is the sound of gunfire from the Canjuers military camp, which is about 15 minutes from the campsite. It's not extremely annoying, but it's still very impressive. In conclusion, if you're going on a family camping trip, I wouldn't recommend this type of accommodation. In my opinion, it's more of a stopping-off point for camper vans or for spending the night if you're hiking or cycling. I hope I've given you the best possible guidance with this review. Thank you for reading this and I wish you all a wonderful holiday.
