How to get there

  • Car

    If you are travelling by car, leave from Draguignan. Take the D557 north-east towards Bargème. Follow the D557 for approximately 25 km to the village of Bargème. Once in Bargème, head towards the coordinates PGRP+F4, 83840 Bargème, where you will find the Gorges de Mauvasque. Parking is available at the entrance to the gorges, but a small charge may apply in certain areas.

  • Public transport

    For those who use public transport, take the train from Nice to Draguignan. Trains run regularly and the journey takes around two hours. Once in Draguignan, you can take a local bus to Bargème. Check the local bus timetable for departures, as they can be infrequent. After arriving in Bargème, you'll need to walk about 1.5 km to reach the Gorges de Mauvasque. Bring comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be rough.

  • Walk

    If you are already in Bargème, head south-east (hamlet of St Laurent); you can reach the Gorges de Mauvasque by car by parking at the chapel before the hamlet of St Laurent. From the centre of the hamlet, head south-east and follow the path to the gorges. The walk is about 1.5 km long and takes about 20-30 minutes. Bring water and good shoes for this picturesque walk.
